Job Description

This position will be responsible for applying rustproofing and undercoating protection products on automobiles and trucks to minimize rust and corrosion while also reducing noise. These products are carefully sprayed on vehicles in a pre-manufactured access area using a methodical process.

This position will be responsible for applying rustproofing and undercoating protection products on automobiles and trucks to minimize rust and corrosion while also reducing noise. These products are carefully sprayed on vehicles in a pre-manufactured access area using a methodical process.

Your Day to Day

• Apply several different kinds of protective coatings on vehicles using precise, methodical process.
• Exactly follow material handling processes and procedures for using and storing of protective coatings and other chemical products.
• Carefully position vehicles on hoists.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and organization for maximized effectiveness.
• May assist other areas of the shop as needed.
• Wear the appropriate safety equipment at all times.
  
  

What You Have

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving history.
• Good organizational skills.
• Prior rustproofing experience preferred.
  
  

Work Environment

This position works in a detail shop setting with some outdoor exposure during the work day. This role routinely uses standard detailing equipment such as hoses, compressors, and hand wands.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and infrequently lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
