Job description

Job Summary:

The pipe welder will perform welding, lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems, pipe supports, fixtures, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and hydraulic diagrams
• Possess a complete set of tools appropriate for industrial pipe fitting/welding
• Ability to stoop, bend, and manipulate tools in small spaces
• Perform work at heights
• Frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds
• Perform and pass a pipe coupon weld test

Preferred Experience:

• At least 4 years of pipe welding experience, preferably in an industrial setting

Physical and Job Site Requirements:

• Must complete hiring paperwork electronically via DocuSign
• May need to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Must have sufficient strength and stamina to perform technical duties
• Ability to move in confined spaces and uneven areas
• Full range of motion appropriate for age
• Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders
• Ability to hear and respond to voice commands, alarms, and job-related noises
• Visual acuity, depth perception, and color discrimination suitable for working at heights and on uneven surfaces
• Safety/steel toe shoes are required
