Job summary

Connect Force is seeking an Applications & Proposal Engineer to join our Farmington Hills team. You’ll bridge engineering, sales, and manufacturing to translate requirements into practical equipment and process solutions.

You will review specs, prepare technical proposals, and develop cost estimates while collaborating across disciplines to ensure clear expectations and strong proposals for customers.

Qualifications

• Experience translating customer needs into clear technical proposals.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specs.
• Strong attention to detail in estimates and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications, drawings, and RFQs to understand project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and manufacturing to develop equipment and process solutions.
• Prepare technical proposals outlining scope, pricing, assumptions, and solutions.
• Develop cost estimates using equipment, tooling, materials, and engineering requirements.
• Communicate with customers and internal teams to clarify specs and answer questions.
• Identify risks, missing information, and opportunities to improve the approach.
• Support the transition from quotation to project execution by documenting customer expectations.
