UCLA Health in Los Angeles is seeking an Applications Programmer 3 to support the Neuromodulation Division's clinical, research, educational, and business operations. You will design, develop, and maintain software applications, databases, servers, and IT infrastructure to enable innovative programs.

Key duties include data management for EEG/MRI research, web resource development, and advanced technical support across platforms.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting complex software applications, databases, servers, and networked systems.
  • Strong knowledge of MS SQL, MS Access, FileMaker, database queries, functions, and stored procedures.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming with C++, C#, and VB.NET.
  • Expert knowledge of web application development and services using ASP.NET and SQL databases.
  • Knowledge of IIS, Apache, and scripting languages including PHP, PERL, VBA, CSS, JavaScript, and Ajax.
  • Experience supporting desktop, laptop, workstation, and server environments on both Apple and Windows platforms.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently.

Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting complex software applications, databases, servers, and networked systems or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Strong knowledge of MS SQL, MS Access, FileMaker, database queries, functions, and stored procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop object-oriented, modular, reusable, and well-documented programs in C++, C#, and VB.NET
  • Expert knowledge of web application development and services using ASP.NET and SQL databases
  • Knowledge of IIS, Apache web servers, and scripting languages including PHP, PERL, VBA, CSS, JavaScript, and Ajax
  • Working knowledge of web and database design and developemtn
  • Experience supporting desktop, laptop, workstation, and server environments on both Apple and Windows platforms
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing responsibilities, and maintain confidentiality

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
  • Knowledge of FileMaker Pro
  • Experience supporting clinical research, healthcare, or academic environments
