Job summary

The University of California - Los Angeles Health is seeking an Applications Programmer 3 to design, develop, and maintain software supporting clinical and research operations in the Neuromodulation Division.

You will work on databases, web resources, and IT infrastructure, using technologies such as Python, JavaScript, Node.js, MySQL, C++, and C#. The role involves collaborative, cross-functional work across departments and campuses.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years designing, developing, implementing, and supporting complex software applications, databases, servers, and networks.
• Strong knowledge of MS SQL, MS Access, FileMaker, SQL queries and procedures.
• Experience in object-oriented, modular programming in C++, C#, and VB.NET.
• Expert knowledge of ASP.NET web apps and SQL databases.
• Experience with IIS, Apache, and scripting languages (PHP, PERL, VBA, JavaScript, Ajax).
• Experience supporting cross-platform desktop, laptop, and server environments (Apple and Windows).
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain software applications supporting clinical, research, and business operations.
• Develop and manage research and educational databases with data-entry and reporting systems.
• Create and maintain custom software using Python, JavaScript, Node.js, Bash, MySQL, C++, and C#.
• Support and administer servers, networks, and IT infrastructure for clinical and research environments.
• Perform data analysis and software development related to EEG, MRI, and other research data.
• Provide advanced technical support for hardware, software, databases, and networks.
• Design, maintain, and enhance division websites and web-based resources.
• Recommend and evaluate software and hardware solutions to improve operational efficiency.
