MANE in Parsippany, NJ is hiring an Applications Lab Technician to support R&D, Sales, and Category Management by preparing small-scale blends of specific formulas. This entry-level role involves basic laboratory work under supervision, handling bases, materials, and color formulations, with opportunities to develop skills toward the next level.

You will maintain logs, manage orders, and collaborate with departments while adhering to environmental policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Scientific/Technical studies preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years previous work experience in a lab setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepares small-scale blends of formulas for testing and presentation to customers.
• Prepares cosmetic and household bases for in-house use and customer presentations.
• Keeps log of customer bases and packaging; orders raw materials and supplies.
• Maintains stability program, sample storage, and coordination with Evaluation/Perfumery departments.
• Develops and recommends color formulations for hydroalcoholic colognes and other products.
• Assists Production Dept. in coloring batches and troubleshoots technical problems with customers.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Applications Lab Technician to join our talented team in Parsippany, NJ! In this role you will be responsible for providing support to R&D, Sales, Category Management, and other departments by preparing small-scale blends of specific formulas as written. This position is entry level and requires basic laboratory skills and knowledge. Complexity and variety of work is limited as the employee develops competencies for the next level. May develop solutions to routine technical problems. Work is closely supervised.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Completes and coordinates all requests for applications samples and testing.
• Prepares cosmetic and household bases, both proactively and on request, for presentation to customers, as well as for in-house use.
• Keeps log of customer bases and packaging.
• Orders raw materials, packaging, and other supplies.
• Maintains stability program, including sample storage and retrieval, filing appropriate paperwork, and coordination with Evaluation/Perfumery depts.
• Develops and recommends color formulations for hydroalcoholic colognes and other products.
• Assists Production Dept. in coloring of batches.
• Works with customers on technical problem solving.
• Maintains safe and orderly laboratory.
• Represents the company at select SCC meetings.
• Handles special tasks and projects as requested in order to meet company objectives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Pay Transparency Disclosure

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $27 per hour to $32 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, geographic location, and applicable legal considerations. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, which is awarded based on both individual and company performance.
