Job summary

Gorbel Canada, operating as Engineered Lifting Systems & Equipment Inc., is seeking an experienced Applications Engineering leader to drive design and integration of electro‑mechanical systems. You will guide a team, oversee 3D/2D design work, and ensure projects meet timeline and cost targets.

You will work with ERP systems, BOMs, and CAD models to deliver reliable products, while coaching staff, advancing processes, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams across North America.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of related experience in mechanical/electrical design and integration.
• Proficient with Solidworks and AutoCAD for complex product design.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and ERP systems in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee application engineering designers and ensure designs meet specs, plans, and timelines.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and management for Applications Engineering staff.
• Coordinate design work using ERP, drawings, BOMs, and general arrangement layouts.
• Develop group processes and procedures to improve productivity and product viability.
• Manage project plans, timelines, and workload priorities.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, purchasing, and supply chain for cost-effective designs.
