Powell Industries, Inc. seeks an experienced Applications Engineering Supervisor in Houston, TX to lead the Applications Engineering team within Powell's Service Division.

You will act as the primary technical and business focal point for electrical equipment and field service portfolios, partnering with Sales and Strategic Accounts to drive high-quality bid decisions and maximize win rates at target margins.

Qualificações

• Minimum 5 years of managerial/leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution, plus 8–10 years of industry experience OR 15+ years in the field without a degree.
• Senior-level expertise in Electrical Equipment Field Service, Power Systems, or Electrical System Integration (switchgear/MCC).
• Strong leadership, mentorship and problem-solving skills with ability to guide engineering teams.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the primary technical and business focal point for Powell's equipment and field service portfolio.
• Provide input to bid go/no-go decisions and optimize technical/commercial strategies.
• Lead and mentor estimating engineers; assign tasks and manage performance.
• Develop standard solutions and drive cost, quality, and execution improvements.
• Analyze specs and data to determine material, labor, and equipment needs for MV/LV systems.
• Lead technical initiatives and customer site visits to tailor solutions.
