Job summary

ANDRITZ is seeking an Applications Engineer to generate equipment proposals that meet customer specs and to provide technical support to the sales team through RFQ budgeting, quoting, and handoff to project management.

You will review RFQs, prepare budgets and technical proposals for Pneumatic Conveying & Air Pollution Control products, perform sizing calculations, generate BOMs and datasheets, and collaborate with vendors to obtain cost estimates for projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering.
• Experience designing heavy industrial equipment.
• Experience in design and cost-estimating of industrial process equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Generate new equipment proposals that meet customer specifications.
• Provide technical support to the sales team during RFQ budgeting, quoting and handoff to project management.
• Review RFQs and specifications to identify appropriate product offerings.
• Prepare budgets and technical proposals for Pneumatic Conveying & Air Pollution Control products.
• Perform process engineering and equipment sizing calculations for proposals.
• Create BOMs, estimates, datasheets, P&IDs, project schedules and other proposal documents.
• Collaborate with vendors to obtain cost estimates for planned equipment.
• Communicate technical clarifications to clients and assist in RFQ packages.
• Support pre-bid meetings and proposal presentations on-site with Sales Managers.
