Job summary

FS-Elliott in Pittsburgh is seeking an Applications Engineer to review new apparatus and aftermarket opportunities, prepare detailed proposals, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure project success. You will develop IPBU, review customer specs for standards compliance, and craft comprehensive proposals including payment terms and scope of supply, while supporting sales and product management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong commitment to quality, accountability, and urgency.
• Familiarity with API level applications API 672 and API 614 preferred.
• Experience with centrifugal compressors or other rotating equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute technical engineering for quotes and proposals, including IPBU and scope of supply.
• Attend and support technical meetings for projects, virtually and in person.
• Develop IPBU using relevant tools reflecting customer specs and project scope.
• Review customer specifications for standards, testing, and major purchases; coordinate with sub-vendors.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Product Management on terms, pricing adders, and payment conditions.
• Create comprehensive proposals with IPBU, scope, P&ID, and terms.
