Job summary

IPEX is seeking an Applications Engineer to serve as a technical resource and trusted advisor, supporting growth of IPEX products across the Mid-West US. This role will travel up to 50% within the United States and requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience in technical sales or applications engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience in technical sales, applications engineering, construction products, piping systems, mechanical systems, or related industries.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to translate complex concepts into customer solutions.
• Customer-focused mindset with excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing in a team.
• Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% throughout the United States.

Responsibilities

• Promote and educate design engineers, contractors, distributors, and end users on piping systems.
• Build relationships with engineers, OEMs, contractors, and code officials to establish IPEX as a preferred partner.
• Drive specification development and inclusion of IPEX products in standards and project specs.
• Obtain product approvals at state, municipal, and regulatory levels.
• Deliver technical presentations, seminars, and product training.
• Provide technical support to sales representatives, distributors, contractors, engineers, and customers.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and training materials.
• Represent IPEX at industry associations, trade shows, conferences, and customer events.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, R&D, Engineering, and Operations teams.
• Investigate product-related concerns and coordinate root cause analysis.
• Monitor industry trends and standards to identify growth opportunities.
