Job summary

IPEX is seeking a Shipper to coordinate orders, manage warehouse sequencing, and ensure on-time delivery. You'll work with the Traffic Department and cross-functional teams to optimize transportation logistics and provide excellent customer service.

You'll serve as the main contact for drivers and customers, prepare BOLs, and maintain compliant records. Strong communication, attention to detail, and adaptability are essential in a fast-paced environment at our Fort Pierce facility.

Qualifications

• College diploma or degree, and/or a minimum of 2 years in shipping/logistics.
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and workload.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assign orders as they are released, considering delivery timelines.
• Maintain picking sequences based on order priority and warehouse zoning.
• Manage and prioritize urgent shipments and customer pick-ups.
• Utilize Transportation Management System (TMS) to select carrier solutions.
• Dispatch orders and transfers in line with service standards.
• Monitor and track shipments via phone and online systems.
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide order updates.
• Serve as the primary contact for drivers and customer pick-ups at the shipping desk.
• Prepare and process Bills of Lading (BOLs) accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain organized records and filing systems including BOLs and orders in accordance with requirements.

Job Summary

As a Shipper, you'll play a critical role in ensuring customer orders and transfers are shipped accurately, efficiently, and on time. In this role, you'll work closely with our Traffic Department and cross-functional teams to coordinate shipments, manage transportation logistics, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. As a key point of contact for customers and drivers, you'll represent IPEX with professionalism while helping maintain our high standards of service and quality.

Principal Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assign orders as they are released, considering delivery timelines and destination requirements
• Maintain picking sequences based on order priority and warehouse zoning to support efficient operations
• Manage and prioritize urgent shipments and customer pick-ups
• Utilize our Transportation Management System (TMS) to select the most effective carrier solutions
• Dispatch orders and transfers in accordance with IPEX service and quality standards
• Monitor and track shipments through phone and online systems
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide updates on orders and deliveries
• Serve as the primary contact for drivers and customer pick-ups at the shipping desk
• Prepare and process Bills of Lading (BOLs) accurately and efficiently, ensuring all documentation is complete
• Maintain organized and compliant records and filing systems, including BOLs, Sales Orders, RMAs, and other transportation documents in accordance with C-TPAT requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• College diploma or degree, and/or a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar shipping, logistics, or transportation role
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and workload demands
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
