Job summary

Magnetics, a division of Spang & Company, has an opening for an Applications Engineer based at its Pittsburgh, PA office. This position will serve as a technical liaison between Sales and Manufacturing by determining engineering requirements and analyzing the performance of parts and materials to fulfill customer requirements while maintaining the superior performance of Magnetics’ products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience with technical data analysis and analytical tools.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze product performance data using datasheets, curves, and engineering equations.
• Support Sales with product specifications, performance data, test results, and applications.
• Assist with special projects, engineering samples, and new product development.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Development, and Quality Control to support new designs and resolve issues.
• Provide technical and commercial support to customers as liaison between Sales and Production.
• Present technical topics to customers and maintain internal documentation and processes.
