Job summary

Valmet is seeking an Application Engineer to provide technical support for electrical, controls, hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid systems used in paper machine equipment. You will work with customers and sales teams to devise solutions, develop quotations, and support order execution.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 2-5 years of related experience, with knowledge of PLCs, drives, instrumentation, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in application engineering, industrial controls, automation, fluid systems, or paper machine equipment.
• Knowledge of PLCs, drives, instrumentation, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and industrial process equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to customers and sales teams.
• Develop technical and commercial quotations.
• Respond to customer and sales inquiries regarding products and applications.
• Configure and recommend solutions based on customer requirements and system specifications.
• Support order execution and resolve technical issues affecting customer orders.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, service, and operations to ensure solutions meet customer needs.
• Support customer visits, site evaluations, and technical presentations.
