Job summary

Valmet in the United States (Appleton, WI) is seeking a Fluids Engineer to design hydraulic and pneumatic systems for our pulp and paper customers. Join a team of experts delivering world-class technology solutions.

You will create circuit drawings and piping diagrams, valve panel assemblies, and support component selection and installation task lists. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years of related experience; AutoCAD is required and Cadmatic is a plus;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 4+ years of experience.
• Experience in fluid circuit design and heavy industrial equipment preferred.
• AutoCAD proficiency required; Cadmatic experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create circuit drawings and piping diagrams.
• Create valve panel assemblies.
• Work with component selection and installation task lists.
• Size hydraulic power units, valves, and pipes; perform flow and pressure calculations.
• Participate in FAT and start-ups as required.

As the expert you will:

• Create circuit drawings and piping diagrams
• Create valve panel assembly drawings
• Work with component selection and create installation task lists
• Responsible for system sizing (hydraulic power units, valves, pipes)
• Engineering calculations for flow and pressure
• Participate in FAT and start-ups as required

WHAT YOU NEED

A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree from a four-year college or university; a minimum of four years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ideally, you will have some paper industry experience - heavy industrial equipment experience preferred. Must understand fluid circuit design and ability to use AutoCad. Cadmatic expierence is a plus but not required. We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated and enjoy learning new things. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
