Based in Needham, MA, the role focuses on mastering HPR’s product portfolio and delivering world-class service.

You will interface with customers by phone, email and web; develop training materials; and collaborate with engineering to accelerate issue resolution.

Qualifications

We are searching for an Applications Engineer II to support HPR's clients by solving technically complex problems for some of the largest financial institutions in the world. Headquartered in Needham, Massachusetts, HPR is undergoing exponential growth as we expand our existing product lines and develop the next generation of HPR products, building upon an already highly profitable company.

As an Applications Engineer II at HPR, you will:

• Develop expert level technical competence in HPR’s cutting edge product portfolio
• Provide world-class customer service by resolving technically complex problems
• Leverage your strong communication, troubleshooting, and technical skills to interface with customers
• Drive best practices and lessons learned from evaluations/benchmarks and customer interactions back to product development and other application engineers
• Develop and deliver training/education to customers
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email and web
• Engage and immerse yourself with the engineering team to expedite problem resolution and deliver the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or similar field
• 2+ years supporting business critical applications
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Ability and initiative to complete tasks and solve problems autonomously
• Experience with Python and Shell scripting
• Proficient understanding of networking technologies and protocols (TCP, switch configuration, routing)

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with C and Python programming
• Experience with Jira/Confluence

Compensation:

In compliance with Massachusetts law, the anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $63,000 to $176,100. Please note that this range represents the expected base salary for this role at the time of posting. The final offer may vary based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. This range does not include other forms of compensation such as potential bonuses, equity, or benefits.
