Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence is seeking an Applications Engineer-Cabinet Vision for the Production Software Division. This is a remote position based in the United States.
Works closely with the Application Engineering Manager to meet customer needs. Provide comprehensive, professional application & support services to CABINET VISION’s existing customers and resellers. Responsible for the implementation of the various training, integration, and customization functions made available to CABINET VISION end‑users in a timely and professional manner.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide Technical Support services when required
- Provide online and/or onsite training services to customers
- Provide online and/or onsite machine integration services to customers
- Perform post‑processor modifications when required
- Provide customer introduction and follow‑up calls as needed
- Assist customers by facilitating the creation and modification of custom reports, UCS, and catalogues/libraries
- Maintain proper notes on customer interactions
- Obtain and share customer feedback so products and services can be improved
- Escalate serious complaints or critical issues to the next level when resolution cannot be attained
- Identify critical issues and bring them to the Applications Engineering Manager, along with possible suggestions for improvement, wherever possible
- Maintain a polite, helpful, courteous, and professional manner at all times
- Continue learning by attending training classes, independent research, and seminars as needed
- Serve as the point person for assigning complex technical and business matters
- Perform other related duties as assigned

- Advanced technical and software skills with the product lines supported

Education And/or Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 to 5 years of experience; or equivalent work experience
- Previous experience in a software support or service role required
Physical Demands
- Frequently in a stationary position for long periods of time; occasional bending/kneeling
- Manual dexterity required for keyboard use, operating office equipment, and grasping objects
- Regularly move around the office and occasionally customer shops
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and adjustment of focus
- Frequently communicates with other employees and customers
Work Environment
- Primarily an office setting, with occasional visits to the customer shops
- Office is clean, orderly, properly lighted, and ventilated
- Office noise levels are considered low to moderate
- Customer shop noise levels are considered moderate
- If required, PPE will be provided
- Ability to travel up to 20%
