Job summary

A&D Technology in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking an Applications Engineer 1 to support capital-project deployments and commissioning of testing systems. You will develop application software for battery and powertrain tests, demonstrate project leadership, and estimate task schedules with guidance from a team leader.

The role requires a technical degree, strong communication, and travel to customer sites. You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering while delivering hands-on customer

Qualifications

Requires BS degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience.
Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
Willingness to travel to customer locations and support project teams.

Responsibilities

Develop applications for battery, chassis, engine, and powertrain testing using company software tools.
Lead small projects with direction from team leader and estimate schedules and budgets.
Commission test stands and provide commissioning documentation and customer sign-off.
Provide hands-on operations training to customers at their site and support sales and marketing teams.
Assist other departments with technical expertise and product demonstrations.
