Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) seeks an Application Development Engineer to design custom high-speed cable assemblies and document them with detailed drawings. You will work directly with customers to select optimal cable solutions and guide system architecture integration.

Responsibilities include leading design studies, validating mockups, and developing tools for installation and routing. Travel to customer sites will be required and you will train colleagues and customers on best

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or 5+ years of relevant experience.
Experience designing high-speed connectors and cable assemblies.
Ability to develop engineering drawings and documentation.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with customers to select appropriate cable solutions from the portfolio.
Provide technical guidance on product selection, architecture and integration.
Develop custom cable configurations and document with engineering drawings.
Create and validate mockups to demonstrate optimal architecture.
Assist customers in compute tray layout and cable routing optimization.
Deliver technical trainings and presentations to customers and internal teams.
Support sales with technical expertise and customer visits.
Stay updated on developments in connector and interconnect industries.
