Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Applications Engineer, Specialist to lead design, development, and optimization of enterprise applications and healthcare integration ecosystems. You will drive automation, data pipelines, and secure interface solutions while aligning with enterprise architecture and compliance standards.

The role requires deep HL7/FHIR experience, Mirth Connect, and InterSystems HealthConnect, with a focus on scalable, cost-efficient implementations across cloud and on-prem environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Software Engineering (or the equivalent)
• 8–10 years of experience in application engineering or related IT field

Responsibilities

• Architects, configures, and maintains large-scale applications with advanced integration requirements.
• Leads system upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning initiatives.
• Partners with architecture, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure technical alignment.
• Drives automation, scripting, and deployment improvements across environments.
• Establishes standards and documentation to guide enterprise application practices.
• Mentors engineers and serves as a resource for resolving complex technical challenges.
