Job summary

McKesson in the United States is seeking an Integration Engineer - FCS to design, develop, and support enterprise interoperability solutions that enable secure data exchange across clinical, operational, and third-party systems.

You will collaborate with architects, application teams, cybersecurity partners, and business stakeholders to modernize healthcare integrations using HL7, FHIR, SMART on FHIR, REST APIs, and InterSystems HealthConnect, delivering scalable, secure, and compliant

Qualifications

4+ years of experience designing, developing, troubleshooting, and supporting healthcare integrations or enterprise integration solutions.
Experience with HL7 v2.x healthcare messaging standards.
Experience developing or supporting FHIR and REST APIs.
Experience with healthcare interoperability and data exchange solutions.
Experience with message transformation, routing, orchestration, and interface design.
Experience using Git for source control and CI/CD deployment processes.
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting production integration environments.
Experience with HIPAA-regulated systems or other regulated industries.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and support healthcare integrations using InterSystems HealthConnect, Ensemble, and IRIS.
Develop and maintain HL7 v2.x interfaces including ADT, ORM, ORU, SIU, DFT, and MDM workflows.
Build and support FHIR and SMART on FHIR APIs and REST-based integration services.
Design message transformation, orchestration, routing, validation, and exception-handling solutions using JSON and XML.
Troubleshoot interface failures, data quality issues, API errors, and system integration challenges.
Implement source control and automated deployments using Git, GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices.
Monitor integration platforms, APIs, and messaging services to improve reliability, performance, and operational stability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant healthcare technology solutions.
