Job summary

Leader Tech is seeking an Applications Engineer to provide technical expertise and application support for EMI shielding materials. You will work with customers, sales teams, distributors, and internal engineering to tailor material solutions that meet electrical and thermal performance needs.

You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, EMC, and thermal engineers, review drawings and data, assist with prototype testing, and develop technical notes and documentation. 25% travel is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 3+ years in applications engineering or technical sales support.
Experience with EMI shielding, EMC, RF, thermal management or advanced materials is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to customers, distributors, and sales personnel regarding Leader Tech material solutions.
Evaluate customer requirements and recommend suitable materials.
Participate in customer meetings, design reviews, and technical presentations.
Assist with material selection, performance optimization, and product implementation.
Respond to inquiries regarding material properties, specifications, testing, and performance.
Support sales opportunities through technical consultation and recommendations.
Conduct customer and distributor training on product capabilities.
