Job summary

AWC is seeking an Application Engineer to support our sales team by translating customer needs into practical automation solutions. You will work with customers to understand applications and discuss how technology can improve operations.

You’ll teach concepts from basic electricity to complex SCADA/database management, troubleshoot facilities, and develop BOMs tailored to customer requirements. AWC values innovation, accountability, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2- or 4-year technical degree in engineering (preferred)
• 2+ years of hands-on technical experience
• Strong technical aptitude and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to manage a team to meet deadlines with attention to detail
• Positive attitude and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Communicate how to implement technical solutions with key accounts
• Collaborate with inside and outside sales to implement technology solutions
• Teach concepts from electricity basics to SCADA database management and networking
• Provide technical support for PLC, I/O, HMI, SCADA, Drives, motion control, networking, WiFi, radios, motor controls, panel design, and power distribution
• Troubleshoot facilities and networks to restore operations
• Develop Bills-Of-Material based on customer requirements
• Demonstrate hardware and software proficiency
• Document best practices and share with colleagues
• Manage a complex schedule as a self-starter
