Job summary

MBF North America, a ProMach product brand, seeks an experienced Applications Engineer to plan, design, and install machinery in an industrial facility at our Petaluma, CA campus. The role requires coordinating multiple projects, adapting equipment for specific jobs, and maintaining schedules in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering or CS, 5+ years in application engineering, strong engineering and programming knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science required.
• Five years of relevant experience, preferably in application engineering; highly preferred.
• Design experience and development of programmed applications highly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of engineering and programming including electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, and computer programming.
• Proficient with computer industrial design systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Microsoft Office Suite with knowledge of Excel, Salesforce CRM and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Calculate cost analysis for integrating new machinery and equipment into the manufacturing process.
• Use programming process knowledge and experience to adapt equipment to specific job applications.
• Prepare operating instructions and programs for equipment.
• Oversee installation of machinery and equipment to ensure they function according to specifications.
• Evaluate machinery to ensure it has the capability to complete desired functions.
• Analyze alternative techniques and methods and recommend changes to equipment or procedures as needed.
• Establish schedule of procedures and maintenance routines to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
• Share technical information and training with other departments.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized and able to manage multiple projects within a fast-faced environment and is open to constant changes and challenges. The position will be based on site at MBF North America corporate office in Petaluma, California.

Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000
