HBK - Hottinger Brüel & Kjær is seeking an Applications Engineer to collaborate with customers and our design team to define requirements for sensor products addressing market needs. You will assist with NPRs, prototype activities, testing, and technical documentation in a hands-on lab environment.
You’ll review applications, select accelerometers and sensors, prepare data analyses and technical notes, and communicate updates to management and cross-functional teams as experience grows.
As an Applications Engineer, you will work closely with Dytran customers to understand their measurement applications and assist in selecting appropriate sensor and instrumentation solutions from Dytran’s product portfolio.
You will also work with customers and the Dytran Engineering Design Team to define requirements for new or modified sensor products that address emerging customer and market needs.
The Applications Engineer serves as a technical liaison between Engineering, Sales, and our customers. Responsibilities include supporting technical inquiries, assisting with New Product Requests (NPRs), coordinating prototype activities, providing development updates, and communicating customer feedback to Engineering for continuous product improvement.
In addition to supporting external customers, the Applications Engineer will participate in laboratory testing and product evaluation, prepare technical reports and engineering documentation, develop operating and quick-start guides, and assist with technical content for Sales and Marketing.

The pay range for this position is $80,000 to $85,000 annually plus 10% bonus. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
