Job summary

Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. in Kirkland, WA seeks an experienced power electronics engineer to design high-density 400V+ DC-DC isolated converters, develop analog circuits, and author datasheets and application notes.

You will collaborate with design engineers, field applications, and marketing to deliver cutting-edge power delivery solutions for data centers and AI workloads, while performing hands-on testing and technical training.

Qualifications

• MSEE or higher required.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in switch mode power supply designs.
• Lab tools such as oscilloscope, DMM, power supplies, e-loads, frequency analyzer, etc. are used.
• Lab automation experience with Python is a plus.
• Experience with simulation tools like Simplis, Maxwell, Icepak, etc. is preferred.
• Experience in PCB design/layout is a plus.
• Fluent communication skills in English.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Define high density module products in cloud computing power solutions for CPU, GPU, ASIC, and SOC in collaboration with design engineers, field applications, and marketing.
• Develop application reference circuits and system-level power management solutions for Data Center/AI applications.
• Perform hands-on lab bench evaluations, system and board-level debugging, and prototype demonstrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support existing products and drive new product development.
• Write datasheets, application notes, design notes and papers for magazines and conferences to promote MPS products.
