Micro Instrument Corp seeks an Applications Engineer to interpret customer specifications and develop concepts and pricing for automation equipment, tooling, fixtures, and gages. You will collaborate with mechanical, controls, and business development engineers to craft competitive concept pricing and ensure customer design specs are satisfied.

The role reports to the Director of Engineering and requires coordinating with sales and engineering teams to deliver on time.

Qualifikationen

• Education: AAS in Engineering or Engineering Technology plus 2 years' experience required.
• Automation experience preferred.
• Proficient in SolidWorks.
• MS Office 2010 (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer literacy.
• Excellent technical and business verbal and written communication skills.
• U.S. Citizen or Green Card allowed.

Applications Engineer

The Applications Engineer is responsible to read and interpret customer supplied specifications, statements of work and/or other customer supplied information to develop concepts and pricing for design and fabrication of automation equipment, tooling, fixtures, and gages. The Applications Engineer will work closely with mechanical, controls and business development engineers to develop concept pricing that the client will find beneficial. They will also work with mechanical and controls engineering, along with the sales team, to ensure that Micro’s customer design specifications or statements of work are satisfied. The Applications Engineer reports to the Director of Engineering.

Job Qualifications

• Education and Experience: Completion of AAS in Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent, plus 2 years’ experience is required
• Automation experience preferred
• Proficient in SolidWorks required
• General skills/qualifications: MS Office 2010 (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer literacy
• Excellent technical and business verbal and written communication skills
• U.S. Citizen or Greed Card

Hours: 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This salary wage is based on a 45-hour work week, overtime paid after 45 hours.
