Job summary

Fenwick & West LLP is seeking an Applications Developer to join the Solutions & Automation team in Palo Alto, CA. You will work on internal web apps, APIs, and integrations, while enabling AI-powered automation and cloud-enabled solutions.

The role offers exposure to AI tools, Azure services, data platforms, and modern automation practices across the software development lifecycle, with hands-on, production-facing systems and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or related field.
3+ years of hands-on development in a professional environment.
Experience with at least one modern programming language.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to collaborate with stakeholders.
Curiosity about AI, automation, cloud platforms, and business process improvement.
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).

Responsibilities

Build and enhance internal web apps, tools, APIs, and integrations.
Support AI and automation initiatives using Copilot and Azure AI services.
Work with SQL databases, dashboards, and data-driven improvements.
Participate in Azure-hosted app work and cloud migration projects.
Troubleshoot, document, and streamline manual processes.
Gather requirements and communicate progress with stakeholders.
Own assigned tasks from start to finish and ensure security and maintainability.
Learn new technologies and apply them quickly.
