Job summary

Fenwick & West is seeking an Applications Developer to join the Solutions & Automation team. This role offers exposure to enterprise applications, AI-enabled tools, cloud services, data platforms, and modern automation practices.

You will work on building internal web applications, APIs, and integrations, supporting AI initiatives, and collaborating with stakeholders across the firm. The position emphasizes hands-on learning, ownership, and ongoing modernization of systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
3+ years of hands-on experience in a professional services environment a plus.

Responsibilities

Build and enhance internal web applications, business tools, APIs, and integrations.
Support AI and automation initiatives involving Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI services, internal AI platforms, workflow automation, and AI-enabled search.
Work with SQL databases, reporting solutions, dashboards, and data-driven process improvements.
Participate in Azure-hosted application work, cloud migration efforts, and projects that stabilize, simplify, and modernize existing systems.
Help troubleshoot issues, document systems, and streamline manual processes.
Contribute ideas that improve user experience and team efficiency.
Work with stakeholders on their respective projects, gathering requirements and communicating progress clearly.
Follow through on assigned work with reliable ownership from start to finish.
Look for simple, secure, and supportable ways to improve systems and processes.
Learn and apply new technologies and platforms quickly as project needs evolve.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
