Job summary

The Minnesota IT Services (MNIT) – in partnership with the Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) – seeks an Applications and Data Supervisor to provide strategic execution leadership for application and data services. This role ensures scalable, secure technology aligned with agency needs and MNIT governance.

The Systems Supervisor will lead complex technical and operational functions, including staffing, DevSecOps pipelines, Agile delivery, and the support structures needed for reliable,

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of IT experience in application and data service management including enterprise platforms, data environments, system integration, DevSecOps, and Agile delivery.
• Experience leading work in an Agile delivery environment (Kanban, Scrum, or SAFe) with planning, backlog refinement, estimation and tracking.
• Experience leading enterprise application and data service work including development, configuration, integration, troubleshooting, production support, and data management ( technologies may include .NET, SQL Server, Power Platform, Azure).
• Experience implementing and supporting DevSecOps and CI/CD practices (version control, automated testing, deployment pipelines, environment and deployment change management, and secure releases).
• Two (2) years of lead work or supervisory experience.
• Strong communication to guide teams through change and a customer-focused approach to user experience and high-performing teams.

• Oversee development/security/operations (DevSecOps) pipelines and Agile delivery processes.
