Job summary

Sayari is seeking a Software Intern to join the Application team within the Software Engineering department. The internship focuses on developing new features, building and maintaining APIs, and working closely with experienced developers.

The position is remote, paid, and requires 20‑30 hours per week. You will contribute to API development, write tests, and help document code while learning from a skilled team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of experience in programming web-based applications and REST API servers.
• Understanding of functional programming such as map/filter/reduce.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience working with Node and Express.
• Experience modeling and querying data in SQL databases such as Postgres.
• Experience writing unit tests and integration tests.
• Experience with RxJS (plus).
• Experience with databases such as Cypher-based graph databases (Memgraph), Cassandra, Elasticsearch (plus).
• Experience with React and tools such as Redux and React Query (plus).
