Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing the design, maintenance, and support of agency‑utilized applications and SharePoint sites for the LDH, including training, documentation, project management, and staff supervision.
Responsibilities
- Analyze functional requirements and translate them into best‑fit solutions.
- Ensure all projects are completed by subordinates and monitor transitions between projects and application support.
- Provide technical support to LDH staff by diagnosing technical problems and identifying appropriate solutions through research.
- Triage, prioritize, and fulfill maintenance and support requests submitted through the ticket system.
- Research and implement best practices for agency‑utilized applications.
- Develop, produce, distribute, and update training materials (guides, videos, PowerPoint presentations, etc.) for LDH employees, as it pertains to LDH SharePoint sites.
- Provide training of agency‑utilized applications to staff as necessary.
- Take lead role with pressing unit matters and work with the unit supervisor to address them properly.
- Lead training of new unit employees.
- Collaborate with the unit supervisor and Project Management to develop and implement testing plans for new software development.
- Oversee SharePoint site creation, maintenance, and custom development for all LDH users.
- Develop long‑ and short‑range plans for staff organization, training, and equipment needs.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations for each subordinate, setting future goals and strategies.
- Conduct recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and professional development of assigned staff.
- Perform other tasks as directed.
Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree, or Associate’s degree with 3 years of professional experience, or 6 years of professional experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience working with agency‑utilized applications or solutions.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience with content development or application solution development.
- Excellent analytical skills, effective organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Great attention to detail and strong verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience working with agency‑utilized applications or solutions.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience with content development or application solution development.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing projects, assignments, and competing priorities.
- Minimum 1 year of professional supervisory experience.
- MOUS, ACE, MCT, or other relevant industry certifications.
