Job summary

Jobtailor in New York seeks an experienced IT Applications Support Engineer to perform technical operations within OLA, troubleshoot user-reported issues, and resolve critical production problems. Knowledge on IT service process ITIL and mindset of DevOps
Knowledge on Abinitio, Snowflake and shell scripting is preferred
Knowledge on Finance accounting domain
Strong oral and written communication skills
Attention to detail and troubleshooting Log analysis skills throughout application components
Basic Business knowledge/understanding of financial markets and products
Knowledge/experience of problem management, issue tracking and reporting using tools like ServiceNow
Willingness to work flexible hours
Degree in Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

Perform technical operational tasks on a routine basis within OLA
Troubleshoot issues reported by users and self-detected issues within SLA
Independently resolve known issues and 80% of newly occurred issues, including data investigations
Monitor and recover all processes
Maintain environment stability
Coordinate with Level 3 and Development teams to resolve production environment issues and provide feedback
Collect environment improvement points and provide plans to the Development team and application owners
Plan and coordinate release knowledge sharing, migrations, and disaster recovery documentation
Provide knowledge and support training for new team members
Develop support and issue-investigation scripts
Lead new implementations and rollouts
Assume informal/formal leadership roles, and coach and train new recruits
