Job summary

FOSS is seeking an in-house Application Specialist for the dairy industry segment. You will analyze production processes, develop efficiency improvements with customers and sales teams, and prepare implementation plans for process improvements.

You will also manage projects internally and externally and train customers in seminars. The role requires a university degree in a relevant field, experience with analytical instruments, strong process analysis skills, and fluency in German and English.

Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant field (e.g., Dairy Food Technology, Process Engineering, Engineering, Chemistry, or related).
• Experience with analytical instruments and food technology.
• Strong process analysis skills and ability to work independently.
• Fluent in German; full professional proficiency in English.
• Willingness and ability to travel regionally and internationally.
• Knowledge of MS Office and CRM systems is desirable.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a talented in-house Application Specialist for the dairy industry segment

For the right person, we can be flexible on location. You can be based both in Hamburg close to our regional office, or you can work in a remote capacity based in Southern Germany.

In the role, you will:

• Analyze production processes of our dairy industry customers.
• Develop efficiency improvement initiatives together with customers and the respective sales teams.
• Prepare detailed implementation plans for process improvements.
• Manage projects both internally and externally.
• Define priorities within the dairy segment.
• Support the identification and implementation of new developments and improvements.
• Conduct customer training sessions and seminars.

What we expect you to bring

• University degree in a relevant field (e.g., Dairy Food Technology, Process Engineering, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline).
• Experience with analytical instruments and food technology.
• Strong process analysis skills and the ability to work independently.
• Fluent in the German language
• Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken
• Willingness and ability to travel regionally and internationally.
• Knowledge of MS Office and CRM systems is desirable.
