Cadmatic is a leading global developer of digital and intelligent 3D-based design, engineering, and information management solutions for the marine, process, and construction industries. Our journey started in the 1980s. Over the past decade, we have grown by 20 percent annually, and it's all about talent. We truly value our people – many stay with us for years, with an average tenure of 10 years. Today we have over 330 proactive, engaged, and growth-minded people in 20 countries around the world. Over 6000 customers are using our software solutions in 60 countries. In the marine industry, our technology supports around 40 percent of the world’s shipyards. We continue strong growth.

We are looking for an Application Specialist, Outfitting to support our growth in the US market in Virginia, Mississippi, or Louisiana. You’ll work remotely from your home office in one of these locations.

In this role, you support Cadmatic Outfitting application deployments, customer success, training, and technical consultation. You work closely with customers across the full lifecycle and report directly to the Technical Manager. You combine hands‑on software work with close customer collaboration and help them get more value from their outfitting design workflows.

What you will work on:
  • Acting as the primary contact for customers from deployment through daily use.
  • Providing technical support and training so customers can adopt and use Cadmatic Outfitting effectively in their projects.
  • Advising customers on practical use of Cadmatic Outfitting in piping, machinery layout, and outfitting design workflows.
  • Solving technical questions and troubleshooting complex issues in daily use.
  • Running training sessions both remotely and at customer sites.
  • Participating in the sales process as a technical software expert and delivering software demonstrations.
  • Turning customer feedback into clear and actionable input for product development.
What helps you succeed in this role:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. A marine, mechanical, or shipbuilding-related background is preferred.
  • 3+ years of practical experience in shipbuilding and outfitting design, engineering, or 3D CAD.
  • Strong understanding of the U.S. marine industry, with additional value placed on naval environment experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in customer service or client‑facing roles. Strong ability to build trusted relationships with customers and cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Basic programming knowledge (for instance C++) is considered a plus.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
What do we offer:
  • Full‑time work (40 hours per week).
  • Flexible working hours and remote work. The role requires regular visits to customer premises.
  • Paid Time Off: 20 days of paid time off (PTO) per year.
  • Medical insurance.
  • Travel expense coverage for customers and Cadmatic premises according to our global travel policy.
  • Compensation: Annual base salary of $85,000–$100,000 plus a variable bonus, with on‑target earnings (OTE) of $102,000–$120,000. This salary range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this position, and the final offer may vary within the range depending on the work location, work experience, and the level of expertise in shipbuilding or marine engineering.
Cadmatic as an employer:
  • A stable, global company with a long history, strong future, and advanced software solutions.
  • A friendly, supportive, and truly multicultural work environment where we succeed together.
  • Autonomy, ownership, and trust: you’re encouraged to do your best work and develop professionally.
  • Competitive benefits and flexible working practices that support work‑life balance.
  • An engineer‑minded, people‑first culture — we take our work seriously but also enjoy ourselves along the way.
