Job summary

Suntex Marinas is seeking an Applications Specialist, MMS to ensure marina operations systems are reliable and scalable. You will manage implementations, configurations, data migrations, training, and ongoing operations across IT and business teams.

In this role you will translate business needs into system requirements, test new features, support end users, and collaborate with vendors to deliver continuous improvements for multiple marina sites.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in information systems, business operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
• 1–3 years’ experience with application configuration, data migration, UAT, requirements documentation, and troubleshooting system integrations.
• Experience with Marina Management Systems or reservation and/or POS software is preferred.
• Must have excellent computer literacy.
• Must have experience using Copilot to assist in completing tasks.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be capable of working in a team environment to achieve team, department, and Company goals.
• Must be able to interact with others in an honest, fair, and respectful way, giving others confidence in one’s intentions and those of the organization.
• Must have the ability to develop and sustain productive internal customer relationships, actively seeking information to understand and address business needs.
• Must be comfortable presenting to both business and technical audiences.

• Must have the ability to operate independently, manage ambiguity, and own outcomes.
• Industry experience in maritime, real estate, hospitality, or asset-heavy, multi-unit operating environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support migrations from Legacy MMS systems to the Suntex integrated solution.
• Work on all aspects of implementations including data migration, system configuration, end user training, and initial data entry/loading.
• Work closely with technology vendor(s), IT MMS, IT Data and Analytics, and IT Financial Services teams to expand and improve system functionality and processes.
• Partner with business users to define functional requirements and test scenarios.
• Develop, coordinate, and execute system and end user testing for new features, system changes, integrations, and version releases before they are approved for production.
• Partner with change management to aid in end user training, communications, and adoption.
• Responsible for application software (MMS) support desk, including Legacy MMS solutions and the integrated solution.
• Work closely with IT Financial Services and Accounting to troubleshoot accounting issues related to MMS integration.
• Create and add tickets for all end users that reach out through alternative methods like text, phone, and/or Teams.
• Ensure application tickets are followed through to issue resolution and customer satisfaction.
• Act as an escalation resource for application related issues from the IT Service Desk.
• Translate business needs into clear functional requirements and communicate priorities and expected outcomes to vendors.
• Track vendor commitments and elevate issue resolution, ensuring updates are shared with affected stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
