The anticipated salary range for this role is between $158,000.00 and $198,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and analysis of current market compensation. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC MANUBANK offers a competitive benefits portfolio.

Summary

Jenius Bank is seeking an Application Security Engineer to join our Cybersecurity team. Your main responsibilities will include configuring application security tools and triaging their findings, working closely with vulnerability management and development teams to ensure security best practices.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Support configuration, triage, delivery, and ongoing support for DAST, SAST, IAST, and SCA security scanning tools.
• Collaborate with development and security architecture teams on vulnerability remediation and security best practices.
• Coordinate with the vulnerability management team to report and validate vulnerabilities according to SLAs.
• Conduct manual testing activities to support feature enhancements and reproduce penetration testing or bug bounty findings.
• Create technical documentation to support internal security processes.
• Research, develop, and share security insights with the team.
• Work with the security operations center (SOC) regarding external threats.
• Help align secure software development processes with industry standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Specifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or software development.
• Strong knowledge of web application security tools.
• Experience with Snyk, Data Theorem, Wiz, Rapid 7 Insight Appsec, bug bounty/VDP, and penetration testing is a plus.
