The anticipated salary range for this role is between $158,000 and $198,000. The specific salary offered will depend on individual qualifications, experience, and market conditions at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. We are seeking an Application Security Engineer to join our Cybersecurity team. Your primary responsibilities will include configuring application security tools and triaging associated findings. Success in this role requires close collaboration with vulnerability management and development teams.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support configuration, triage, delivery, and ongoing support for DAST, SAST, IAST, and SCA security scanning tools.
• Collaborate with development and security architecture teams on vulnerability remediation and best practices.
• Work with the vulnerability management team to ensure vulnerabilities are reported and validated according to SLAs.
• Conduct manual testing for feature enhancements and recreate penetration testing or bug bounty findings.
• Create technical documentation to support security processes.
• Research and develop skills, sharing insights with the team.
• Coordinate with the security operations center (SOC) regarding external threats.
• Align secure software development practices with industry standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Specifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Cybersecurity engineering or software development.
• Strong knowledge of web application security tools.
• Experience with Snyk, Data Theorem, Wiz, Rapid 7 Insight Appsec, bug bounty programs, or penetration testing is a plus.
