Innova Solutions in Jersey City, New Jersey is seeking an experienced Python Developer to support a next-generation Dynamic Pricing Engine in a financial services setting. The role focuses on building scalable Python solutions with strong SQL and messaging skills, REST APIs, and distributed system design.

The contract position requires 18 months with on-site work (3 days onsite). You will participate in Agile ceremonies and apply TDD/BDD, CI/CD and code reviews to deliver high-quality software

Qualifications

• Design, develop, test, and implement scalable Python-based solutions for a pricing engine.
• Collaborate with traders, business users, and tech teams to refine requirements.
• Build RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and event-driven apps.
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and follow TDD/BDD, CI/CD and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement scalable Python-based solutions supporting the Dynamic Pricing Engine.
• Collaborate with business users, traders, and technology teams to refine requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Build and support RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and event-driven applications.
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Apply software engineering best practices including TDD/BDD, CI/CD, code reviews, and automated testing.
• Work with financial market data and messaging technologies to support pricing and trading workflows.
• Provide production and business-facing support, troubleshooting issues and ensuring platform stability.
• Drive improvements in scalability, maintainability, performance, and system architecture.

Position type: Contract

Duration: 18 Months

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey (3 Days Onsite)

Seeking an experienced Python Developer with strong ANSI SQL, FIX protocol, Kafka/messaging, REST APIs, and distributed systems experience to support the transformation of a next-generation Dynamic Pricing Engine within a leading financial services environment.

• Required Skills (Must-Have)
• Design, develop, test, and implement scalable Python-based solutions supporting the Dynamic Pricing Engine platform.
• Collaborate with business users, traders, and technology teams to refine requirements and deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Build and support RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and event‑driven applications.
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
• Apply software engineering best practices including TDD/BDD, CI/CD, code reviews, and automated testing.

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis.

Pay Range and Benefits

Pay Range*: $65/hr - $70/hr on W2.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
