Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Sr. Lead Backend Developer with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC and Plano, TX. This is a 12 + month contract position.



Responsibilities:

• Lead a team and be the point of contact for the business when talking about the Development milestones and updates.


• Help with solutions during JAD sessions-bring ideas to the table.


• Develop and support Java based application for Projects


• Analyze, design, and develop enterprise applications with Agile development methodology


• Assist in web services development with associated skills using SOAP, REST and HTTP in a high stakes/high volume environment


• Work closely with product partners to on board the new functional requirements in the system


• Participate in code reviews and daily SCRUM

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or related


• 10+ years progressive industry experience


• Led a team, specifically a team that utilized offshore resources.


• 10+ years of development experience in Backend Java/J2EE


• 5+ years of work experience in an Agile environment, history of participating in daily agile routines and estimation of stories with minimal direction


• Java experience in financial software development


• 1-2 years of experience with Core Java (preferably Java 17)


• 4-6 years of experience with Java Microservices


• 6+ years of experience with Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, XML, JSON, RESTful APIs


• Experience with Java/Sprint boot, Monitoring/Trouble shooting and Oracle database experience
