Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC and Plano, TX. This is a 12 + month contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the marketing development teams that manage and build Tier 1 applications with hot/hot architecture
• Collaborate and negotiate with multiple groups including other agile development teams, marketing lines of business, architects, and Infrastructure partners
  
  

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in building and integrating Java REST APIs & Messaging applications, using Spring/Spring Boot
• Strong SQL skills
• Skilled in using development tools including source code control, Code quality tools, debugging, and profiling
• Experience working in a high-performing agile development team and has technical maturity to take line of business requirements and direct the architectural solution
• Hands-on experience with application server technologies such as WebSphere, JBoss
• Ability to coordinate and Support large & complex projects including product upgrades and deployment of new capabilities and enhancements
• Background in delivering full-life cycle projects
• Strong analytical skills to solve problems, perform research and derive solution opportunities
• Ability to lead the team and work in a global delivery model
• Ability to work on an Agile team
• Ability to work with Application & Solution Architects, employing design patterns as best fit
• Ability to work with MS Visio or other design tools and deliver application & component level designs to team of developers
• Understand processes and system flows, understand business requirements, with the ability to translate those to technical requirements
• Demonstrate effective written and communication skills
• Able to present to management and executives of different levels within the organization

Desired skills:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field with 7+ years of experience in Information Technology
• Previous Experience in Financials Services, Marketing & Insights
• Experience with Jenkins, Artifactory, Git, Bitbucket, Ansible and Ansible Tower
• Knowledge of today's relevant technologies such as NoSQL, Docker, Kubernetes
• Knowledge of integration software such as Apache CAMEL and ESB such as MuleSoft
• Knowledge of Kafka, Spark, Hive integration.
• Understanding of enterprise change control systems and processes
• Experience in secure programming practices
• Experience with delivering UI driven application (JavaScript, React or Angular)
• Experience creating and/or supplying Story level details to Product Owner
