Job summary

RTX is seeking an intern to support the Enterprise Services Application team in Farmington, CT. You will help collect, validate, and cleanse application inventory data used for transformation planning and governance, while collaborating on lifecycle data within ServiceNow.

You will learn about IT governance, digital transformation, and how dashboards and reports support decision-making. A hybrid work arrangement and exposure to Agile practices are offered.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a college degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist in collecting, validating, and cleansing application inventory data used for transformation planning, reporting, and governance.
• Collaborate with team members to update and maintain the source of truth for application inventory within ServiceNow to support OneRTX objectives.
• Gain exposure to enterprise IT governance frameworks and digital transformation initiatives.
• Document processes, findings, and data quality issues to support governance practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and data enhancement initiatives.
• Assist with creating simple data visualizations or summaries, including Power BI visuals.

The Enterprise Services Application team is seeking a motivated intern to support our ongoing Application Transformation and Modernization initiatives. This program focuses on improving the quality, accuracy, and completeness of application data; enhancing lifecycle visibility; and supporting enterprise-wide modernization efforts.

What You Will Do

• Learn and assist in collecting, validating, and cleansing application inventory data used for transformation planning, reporting, and governance.
• Collaborate with team members to update and maintain the source of truth for application inventory within ServiceNow to support company-wide OneRTX objectives.
• Gain exposure to enterprise IT governance frameworks and digital transformation initiatives.
• Document processes, findings, and data quality issues to support long-term governance practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and working sessions related to App Pulse data enhancements and workflow improvements.
• Assist with creating simple data visualizations or summaries that help communicate trends or insights, including supporting the team in building basic Power BI visuals.

What You Will Learn

• Hands-on experience creating simple visuals in Power BI, such as charts and dashboards.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Currently pursuing a college degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Information Systems, or a related technical discipline through the duration of the internship.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience using analysis tools such as Excel functions, Power BI, Tableau, or similar software.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or other comparable platform technologies.
• Basic understanding of Agile methodologies and related concepts.
• Experience in cloud technologies, including platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Hands-on experience with basic data manipulation techniques, including the use of Excel formulas or programming languages like Python.
• Ability to document processes clearly and effectively summarize findings.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
