Job summary

Pratt & Whitney’s RTX enterprise services team offers a data transformation internship focused on improving data quality and governance across applications. You will assist with inventory cleansing, maintaining the source of truth in ServiceNow, and participate in Agile ceremonies while learning how dashboards and basic Power BI visuals support decision making.

We expect current students in CS/IT/Data Analytics with knowledge of Excel and Power BI, plus familiarity with cloud platforms such as

Qualifications

• You are currently pursuing a college degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with Excel, Power BI, Tableau or similar tools is preferred.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar platforms, and basic Agile understanding is desired.

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist in collecting, validating, and cleansing application inventory data for transformation planning and governance.
• Collaborate with team members to update the source of truth for application inventory within ServiceNow.
• Gain exposure to IT governance frameworks and digital transformation initiatives.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and data enhancement discussions related to App Pulse.
• Assist in creating simple Power BI visuals to communicate trends and insights.

The Enterprise Services Application team is seeking a motivated intern to support our ongoing Application Transformation and Modernization initiatives. This program focuses on improving the quality, accuracy, and completeness of application data; enhancing lifecycle visibility; and supporting enterprise‑wide modernization efforts.

What You Will Do

Learn and assist in collecting, validating, and cleansing application inventory data used for transformation planning, reporting, and governance. Collaborate with team members to update and maintain the source of truth for application inventory within ServiceNow to support company‑wide OneRTX objectives. Gain exposure to enterprise IT governance frameworks and digital transformation initiatives. Document processes, findings, and data quality issues to support long‑term governance practices. Participate in Agile ceremonies and working sessions related to App Pulse data enhancements and workflow improvements. Assist with creating simple data visualizations or summaries that help communicate trends or insights, including supporting the team in building basic Power BI visuals.

What You Will Learn

The basics of data quality and the importance of accurate information. How applications are managed throughout their lifecycle in a large organization. Teamwork and collaboration using Agile methodologies. Hands‑on experience creating simple visuals in Power BI, such as charts and dashboards. How dashboards and reports are used to support decision‑making.

Qualifications

You Must Have Currently pursuing a college degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Information Systems, or a related technical discipline through the duration of the internship. Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

We Prefer Experience using analysis tools such as Excel functions, Power BI, Tableau, or similar software. Familiarity with ServiceNow or other comparable platform technologies. Basic understanding of Agile methodologies and related concepts. Experience in cloud technologies, including platforms such as Azure or AWS. Hands‑on experience with basic data manipulation techniques, including the use of Excel formulas or programming languages like Python. Ability to document processes clearly and effectively summarize findings.

Salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
