RTX is seeking a Summer ERP Intern to support the Record to Report and Opportunity to Cash workstreams in Charlotte, NC. You will assist in ERP testing, data mapping, and data conversion activities within the Collins Process & Systems Transformation program.

The role offers exposure to SAP S/4HANA, process documentation, and cross-functional collaboration across finance and IT teams, with a hybrid on-site/off-site work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in IT/IS/CS/Accounting/Finance/Business/STEM and enrolled through internship.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and/or Outlook).

We are hiring a Summer ERP Intern – Record to Report and Opportunity to Cash to support the Collins Process & Systems Transformation program. This program will harmonize key business processes, tools, metrics, and reporting across Collins, enabling the migration of capabilities to standardize ERP systems and customer applications. Collins has selected SAP S/4HANA as its future ERP platform and has largely completed the strategic definition and design phase. This internship offers hands‑on experience in business process transformation, financial systems, data conversion, application integration, and ERP testing. The ideal candidate is curious, collaborative, and eager to learn how technology supports finance and business operations.

What You Will Do:The intern will support the Record to Report and Opportunity to Cash workstream through:

• Application integration with SAP S/4HANA.


• Data mapping and development of data conversion specifications.


• Documentation of interim‑state processes and support for related development activities.


• Testing of core ERP functionality.


• Test automation support, including test scripts, documentation, and execution.

What You Will Learn:

• Collaborate with business, digital technology, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and support effective use of the ERP system.


• Assist process and data teams with data mapping, conversion testing, and validation.


• Document process flows, configuration details, common solutions, and data policies.


• Support application integration testing, validate results, and document issues.


• Assist with preparing and executing manual and automated test scripts.


• Support the evaluation of complementary applications based on functional requirements, the desired Collins operating model, and industry best practices.


• Contribute ideas and solutions that support digital and business strategies.


• Develop an understanding of Record to Report processes, Customer applications and the financial controls supported by ERP systems.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Business, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co‑op session.


• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and/or Outlook)


• Experience working on cross-functional teams and presenting information to internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience involving ERP systems, business processes, or digital transformation.


• Experience with data mapping, data conversion, application integration, or software testing.


• Experience with financial controls, data security, and compliance requirements.

Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
