Job summary

Otterbase, Inc. is seeking an experienced Application Packaging Engineer for a fully remote role supporting enterprise software deployment and endpoint management.

You will package, test, deploy, and troubleshoot Windows applications delivered through Microsoft Intune in a large, cloud-based environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Flexera AdminStudio, MSI packaging, and strong scripting skills, with a track record of delivering reliable, scalable packaging

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Application Packaging, Desktop Engineering, or Endpoint Management.
• Hands-on experience creating Windows software packages and deploying them via Intune.
• Strong understanding of Windows 10/11, registry, file systems, and installer behavior.

Responsibilities

• Package, customize, test, and deploy Windows apps through Intune using AdminStudio.
• Collaborate with owners and SMEs to gather requirements and analyze dependencies.
• Create silent installs, detection methods, and deployment configurations; test in non-prod.
• Troubleshoot install/config/deployment issues and support updates and versioning.
• Document packaging standards and deployment procedures in line with best practices.

Description: We're looking for an experienced Application Packaging Engineer for a fully remote, supporting enterprise software deployment and endpoint management. You'll package, test, deploy, and troubleshoot Windows applications delivered through Microsoft Intune in a large, cloud-based environment. The right candidate knows Microsoft endpoint management and software deployment best practices.

Responsibilities/skills:

• Package, customize, test, and deploy Windows applications through Microsoft Intune, using Flexera AdminStudio to build and maintain installation packages
• Work with application owners, stakeholders, and SMEs to gather requirements and analyze dependencies, configurations, and deployment needs
• Build silent installs, detection methods, installation parameters, and deployment configurations, then test and validate them in non-production environments
• Troubleshoot installation, configuration, and deployment issues, and support software updates, patches, and version management
• Document packaging standards, deployment procedures, and support processes in line with enterprise best practices

Qualifications:

• 3--5 years of experience in Application Packaging, Desktop Engineering, or Endpoint Management
• Hands-on experience creating Windows software packages and deploying them through Microsoft Intune
• Strong understanding of Windows 10/11, the registry, file systems, and how software installs work
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, plus experience gathering requirements from technical and business stakeholders

Preferred: Flexera AdminStudio, MSI packaging/InstallShield, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft Endpoint Manager, PowerShell scripting, and experience in large enterprise environments
