Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited is seeking an experienced database and platform engineer to support CockroachDBs and a suite of enterprise databases. You will manage containers, cloud workloads, and IaC pipelines to deliver secure, scalable infrastructure.

You will work across engineering, security, and operations teams in a large enterprise, contributing to CI/CD, automation, and compliant hybrid-cloud architectures.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience supporting CockroachDB.
• Experience with Oracle, Exadata, PostgreSQL, CockroachDB, Redis.
• Managing databases on containers with scheduling, networking, storage, configuration, and secrets.
• Operating infrastructure services and database workloads in Cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform) and automated deployment approaches.
• Python, APIs for AI-driven applications including agent designs.
• Experience in large scale enterprise environments with security and reliability requirements.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps for containerized apps.
• Experience in Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe).
• Strong problem solving and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain databases on containers in Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Implement highly secure, scalable and performant architectures in Hybrid cloud environments.
• Manage vulnerability remediation and patching with end-to-end automation.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and operational best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and application teams across domains.
• Ensure ongoing compliance to bank standards including data protection and IAM.
• Support iterative software delivery in Agile ceremonies.

Job description

Strong Hands-on experience in supporting Cockroach DBs

Experience with databases like Oracle, Exadata, PostgreSQL, CockroachDB, Redis is a plus.

Working knowledge of managing databases on containers with good understanding of container concepts, including scheduling, networking, storage, configuration, and secrets management

Experience operating infrastructure services and database workloads in Cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP)

Working knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform) and automated deployment approaches.

Proficiency in Python working with APIs for developing and operationalizing AI driven applications including agent designs

Experience working in large scale enterprise environments with strong requirements for security, reliability, and compliance

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for containerized applications

Experience contributing within Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe)

Strong problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex platform issues

Clear, concise communication with technical and non technical stakeholders

Ability to work effectively across engineering, infrastructure, security, and application teams
