Job summary

Konik is seeking an Application Engineer in Waseca, MN to support sales and service of custom industrial equipment. You will contribute to ASME design documentation and build tools to improve engineering capabilities. The role blends design work with customer-facing activities and occasional travel.

You will design to client specs, prepare proposals, and use SolidWorks for detailed engineering. A bachelor’s in engineering (heat transfer/fluids) with at least 3 years of relevant experience is

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with focus on heat transfer or fluid dynamics.
• Minimum of three years of relevant industry experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and heat transfer software.
• SolidWorks expertise, including design and analysis capabilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with technical drawings, safety guidelines, and procedure manuals.
• Skilled in using measuring tools for precise measurements.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and design products to meet client specifications and align with company standards.
• Prepare and present detailed equipment proposals, securing customer approval.
• Use SolidWorks to create detailed engineering designs from drawings, sketches, or written instructions.
• Provide specifications to design drafters and oversee the accuracy of their output.
• Develop and maintain software tools, databases, and applications to streamline engineering tasks.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Collaborate with clients, internal teams, shop personnel, and external vendors.
• Occasionally travel to customer sites for sales and technical support.
