Job summary

Konik is partnering with a manufacturing client to hire an Application Engineer in Waseca, MN. You will design products with SolidWorks, prepare equipment proposals, and support sales and service of custom industrial equipment, including ASME design documentation.

Requires a bachelor’s in engineering (heat transfer or fluid dynamics), 3+ years’ experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office and heat transfer software, and independent problem-solving. Hybrid, direct-hire with $75k–$100k salary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with heat transfer or fluid dynamics focus.
• Minimum three years of relevant industry experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and heat transfer software.
• SolidWorks expertise including design and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and design products to meet client specs and standards.
• Prepare and present equipment proposals for customer approval.
• Use SolidWorks to create detailed designs from drawings or sketches.
• Provide specifications to drafters and review outputs for accuracy.
• Develop and maintain software tools, databases, and apps to streamline tasks.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Collaborate with clients, internal teams, shop personnel and vendors.
• Travel to customer sites for sales and technical support (<5%).
