Job summary

Konik is seeking a Design Drafter in Owatonna, MN to support engineering and production by creating, updating, and maintaining detailed drawings for machinery, equipment, and assemblies. Proficiency in CAD software and strong mechanical design understanding are required.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of mechanical or industrial design drafting experience and is proficient with SolidWorks and AutoCAD, with a keen eye for detail and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical or industrial design drafting.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Produce and update 2D and 3D drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Prepare assembly, part, and detail drawings per standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, production, and project managers to clarify design intent.
• Incorporate ECNs and revisions into drawings.
• Support BOM creation and verify drawings for manufacturing.
• Maintain CAD libraries, templates, and part families.
• Participate in design reviews and improve manufacturability.
