Job summary
LHP Engineering Solutions in Glendale Heights, IL is seeking an Application Engineer - Software & Controls to join the Advanced Systems Team. You will provide software and hardware support for mobile/off-highway hydraulic and electronic control systems and develop application software in C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, and Codesys.
The role requires hands-on testing, on-site customer support, and collaboration with sales to demonstrate our technology.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of software coding experience.
- Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, C/C++, or Codesys.
- Knowledge of hydraulic/mobile mechatronic systems is a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
Responsibilities
- Technical software and hardware support of electronics controls and HMIs.
- Development of application software for electronic control of mobile systems using C, MATLAB/Simulink, and Codesys.
- Develop function blocks for core customer solutions.
- Simulate, test, and validate software in lab or on vehicle.
- On-site customer support of software solutions as required.
- Represent with customers and accompany Sales Managers to locations to showcase technology.
